Paw Paw Product of the Month…

Category : News August 6, 2014

Hello My Lovelies,

As you read this I’m laying in the sun and sipping on a cocktail in Malta!! Whilst I’m away why don’t you have a look at my product of the month for July!

My product of the month is….Papaya Gold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm.
blogger-image--1115014282

A balm that soothes, relieves and moisturises and that it does! This little tube of joy has so many uses that it reminds me of my holy grail product Vaseline!
I’ve used it on my lips, try patches on my arms, a rash on my hand and its helped on all occasions. The back of the tube says that it can be used by people that have eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis as it is enriched with bio active manuka honey. Whilst this product has been brilliant so far this summer I think the Paw Paw will work best in the winter-I don’t think it will leave my bag during the colder months.

I picked this up in Boots for roughly £5 but I’m pretty sure you can buy it from Superdrug too for the same price. You get 25g of product for that price and you literally only need a pea sized amount so will last ages even if you use it everyday.

Have you tried Paw Paw balm? Are you going to be buying it? Let me know in the comments.

Till next time,
Tori.

“Shopping in Boots I saw this for £5.99 for 25g.
I was intrigued, I’m not going to lie the red packaging drew my attention, but upon reading the label I knew I needed to try it!!

What is it? I hear you ask…..
It is a clear moisturising balm that can be used for dry chapped lips. Not only that but irritated skin too!
I used some on my extremely dry elbows and it really works!! You only need the smallest amount.

Promises to:
Soothe Relieve and moisturise
Dry, irritated skin and dry chapped lips.

Enriched with Bio Active Manuka Honey 20+
The 20+ is a similar rating as SPF, only this one indicates it’s therapeutic effects. In this case 20 or above is considered to be therapeutic honey.

Researchers at Cardiff University have hailed Manuka honey a “miracle”.

Manuka Honey
This is the honey produced from bees that feed on the flowers of the Manuka plant, which is more commonly known as the tea tree!
This honey is said to harnesses the properties of the tea tree thus combining with the antibacterial properties of the Honey.
All honey contains the enzyme Glucose Oxidase, in varying levels. This enzymes slowly releases antiseptic hydrogen peroxide into infections without damaging body tissue.

Papayas
(Australia’s Paw Paw a.k.a Papayas)
Not only are they the fruit of the tropics but also contain lots of nutrients such as:
Carotenes, Vitamin C & Flavanoids, B Vitamins, Folate, Pantothenic acid.
Minerals, Potassium, copper and magnesium as well as fibre.

In addition the papaya contains the enzyme papain which has been shown to help lower inflammation, soothe cuts and help healing from burns.

No Parabens, sulphates. Can be used on sensitive skin, eczema sufferers, psoriasis and dermatitis.

Ingredients: Pharmaceutical Grade Petrolatum, Carica Papaya (paw paw) fruit extract, Bees Wax, Bio Active Manuka Honey 20+, Potassium Sorbate.

Overall I am very impressed with this little red tube , have found myself constantly re-applying and using for any dry skin I have. Elbows, knees you name it.
Think for all its benefits, this is such a fantastic price.

Reminds me of a slightly lighter version of Elizabeth Arden’s 8 Hour Cream.
Feels smooth but not overly greasy to apply. Slightly thicker than Vaseline but with added benefits.

I highly recommend this as a moisturising balm. It comes in a handy 25g size so great for popping in you bag! When this runs out if I will be repurchasing!! Like I said only need a small amount, goes a long way!”

“This review is brought to you with the help of Buddha. Not really. He was useless. Kept laughing. Anyway! On a recent trip to Boots this little number slipped into my basket. PapayaGold’s Paw Paw Moisturising Balm. I’m a sucker for a bit of lip moisture and am rarely seen without a balm in my bag. This has become my number one. It’s nourishing, soothing and keeps all my little dry patches at bay. It contains Bio Active Manuka Honey 20+, which wields anti-bacterial healing powers. The packaging is solid, as well as being big and bright enough to be easily found preventing that dreaded bag rummage. My only gripe is that with a picture of papaya on the front I expected a fruity scent where there is none. However, the super creamy smooth texture of this balm more than makes up for that and this is going straight on my repurchase list.”

One of the gifts I unwrapped was this fabulous little tube of fantastic from PapayaGold, their Paw Paw moisturising balm is packed with Bio Active Manuka Honey 20+ and Australia’s Paw Paw (Papaya) fruit which contains Papain that helps to lower inflammation and improve healing from burns and cuts. We’ve all read about the benefits of Manuka Honey with its antibacterial, antiseptic and amongst others, healing properties. I took a spoonful a day while I was really ill to ward off the pains of inflammation in my body and it helped me feel better on the inside, to combine this with papaya and formulate a topical balm sounds like a match made in heaven …and it is!
